Member Benefits
Enjoy these benefits by joining the B.K.S. Iyengar Yoga Association (Vancouver), for only $30 per year:
Workshops: Priority Access & Discounted Fees
Our Association hosts workshops each year, led by Canadian and International Certified Iyengar Yoga Teachers. Members enjoy advance notice, priority registration, and discounted fees for these enriching events.
All-Member Gatherings
Several times a year, volunteer teachers host gatherings where members come together to meet, practice, and explore different aspects of yoga. Topics have included breaking down challenging poses, understanding the relationships between families of poses, and developing a personal practice. On special occasions, we gather to honour our Iyengar Yoga lineage, B.K.S. Iyengar and his family. These events are free and open to all members.
Teacher Gatherings
Certified Iyengar Yoga Teachers and apprentices gather to study, practice, and share teaching insights in these free sessions. These gatherings include theoretical discussions, collaborative practice, and teaching exchanges to refine observation and correction skills, guiding participants in the art of teaching. Another aim is to deepen the sense of community among teachers by rotating through the many Iyengar Yoga venues across the Greater Vancouver area.
Workshop Bursaries
A limited number of bursaries are available to students and teachers (including teachers in training) who attend workshops sponsored by the B.K.S. Iyengar Yoga Association (Vancouver). Currently there are two bursaries available for each of these categories of applicant per workshop. The bursary amount for each individual is half the fee of the workshop. Applicants are eligible to receive a workshop bursary every second year.
