Yoga, Wisdom and Aging

Sep 28 - 29, 2024

A Retreat led by Linda Shevloff

As the years go by our bodies change and so must our yoga practice. But what should be changed? How should we approach the practice?

This yoga retreat will address aging and how it can affect mobility, stability, strength and alignment. Participants will spend two days exploring modifications to poses so that they can continue to enjoy their practice. Each day will include yoga asanas, meditation, pranayama and discussions about life and meaning.

The daily schedule is from 9:00- 4:00 with a catered lunch provided by hosts Vineet Miglani and Nidhi Kamboj who are known locally for their delicious Indian dishes. High Beam Dreams is an
award-winning event venue located in Gibsons, on the Sunshine Coast.

Participants will make their own sleeping and dinner arrangements. Those travelling from the
lower Mainland who wish to travel on the Saturday morning could get the first Horseshoe Bay
ferry at about 6:00am and easily arrive for the 9:00am start. There are many small hotels and
Air B&B’s in the area.

Linda Shevloff is a senior certified Iyengar Yoga teacher who has been teaching Iyengar Yoga since the early 1980’s. She has travelled to India numerous times to study with the Iyengar family. Currently Linda is the President of the Iyengar Yoga Association of Canada.
