The Impact of Iyengar Yoga on MS and other Neurological Conditions by Garth McLean

Since his multiple sclerosis diagnosis in 1996, Garth McLean has successfully managed his course of MS and a hectic schedule with a daily practice of Iyengar Yoga as presented by Yoga master Yogacharya BKS Iyengar. In the following presentation Garth shares his story and the positive effect of yoga on MS and other neurological conditions.

Garth is a senior level Certified Iyengar Yoga Teacher and a Certified Yoga Therapist with the International Association of Yoga Therapists. He is a founding member of the Iyengar Yoga Therapeutics group, a non-profit based in L.A. dedicated to helping people manage diseases and conditions through the therapeutic applications of yoga.

About the Author

Christine completed her studies in 2019 under the guidance of Louie Ettling and Patricia Fernandes at the Yoga Space. She first discovered yoga in early 2000. Since then, she’s tried various forms of yoga but none captured her interest as much as Iyengar Yoga.

The discipline and knowledge is what keeps her coming to her mat every day.
