Fridays 1:00 – 4:00 pm
The Yoga Space will be open for three-hour practice sessions on Friday afternoons throughout the year. Similar to the daily practice at RIMYI in India, participants will be welcome to use the studio equipment to delve into their own practice in the company of other teachers. While the main focus is to deepen ones independent practice, being with other teachers provides the opportunity to ask questions and give each other help when needed. Twenty-one Friday afternoons will be designated for practice sessions annually. Participating in the Pune Practice series is a commitment to one's own practice. Louie and/or Linda will be in attendance.

"After a session of yoga, the mind becomes tranquil and passive" B.K.S Iyengar.
This monthly Friday afternoon class is taught by Louie Ettling for adept students who can hold a ten minute independent headstand, balance in Sirsasana II in the middle of the room and have a dedicated home practice. We will focus on what each practitioner could work on in the weeks between classes, in order to grow in their practice.

Jul 17 – 22 / Summer Urban Retreat with Louie Ettling

Enjoy a five-day retreat without having to leave the city. Held at The Yoga Space.
Daily Schedule:
8:30 am / pranayama (and learning to sit still and upright)
9:30 – 10:00 am / short break, bring your own tea
10:00 am – 12:30 pm / Asana class (builds on all categories of work from day to day)
12:30 – 2:00 pm / lunch (bring your own if preferred)
2:00 – 4:30 pm / Asana class (inversions and hips)

Nov 6 – Dec 22 / 7-week Sadhana with Louie Ettling

"Sadhana" means practice. When we commit to a practice for a set length of time we are more likely to sustain a regular personal practice afterwards.
In the past our annual 40 day Sadhana was offered for 40 days in a row. This year Louie will lead the Sadhana for seven weeks. Rather than practicing together for 40 days in a row, we will have our Sadhana on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays only (from 6.30 am – 8 am), which means that we will practice together twenty one times over seven weeks.
Louie will make suggestions for poses that participants could then work on at home by themselves on the other days of the week. This might prove to be an even more effective way to integrate class work into building an independent home practice. A regular yoga practice enhances our well being and extends to all aspects of our life.
The Sadhana is open to all students however people who have NOT done a sadhana before need to email Louie at before registration and for further information.
